Bonding can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discoloured, misaligned, or as an alternative to veneers. This restorative option can significantly improve or completely change the appearance of a tooth. Many different shades of composites are utilized to blend with the existing tooth in order to achieve the optimum esthetics.
It is important to note the differences in strength of materials between direct (bonding) and indirect (veneers) techniques when restoring your teeth. Although bonding is less costly and is completed in a shorter time period than veneers, veneers typically last three times longer than bonding before repair is needed.
